Ahliah Sings Rose Gharib

As part of its centennial Celebration program, Ahliah School celebrated the release of a musical album recorded by Ahliah Choir.

The event was held on November 3rd and 4th, 2017 in the school campus.

Families, students, Board of Trustees and Alumni provided support to this amazing event by joyfully attending such a gathering. This event was also accompanied by a full press and media coverage such as Tele Liban and Al Jadeed, in addition to large numbers of reporters from different magazines and newspapers.

This event brought together families and friends of both current students and Alumni. Some brought their children and grandchildren to be part of this experience. This was a chance for some to reconnect with former teachers and directors.

The ceremony began with a nice introduction from one member of the choir who welcomed the guests and introduced the remaining members of the choir. The first musical piece to be presented is “The Ambitious Violet”, which was inspired by the story of the famous writer and thinker Gibran Khalil Gibran.
The end of the play was followed by a speech from Dr. Nagla Hamadeh, a member of the Board of Trustees. She welcomed the attendees whilst clarifying the idea of the work which aims to revitalize the Arabic language in order to encourage the youth to learn the language through meaningful children’s songs. The ceremony included as well unique and eccentric songs performed by the choir, mainly consisting of twelve pupils with an age group ranging from eight to twelve.
