Ahliah School wants to congratulate students Rouaa Al Dash (Grade 10) and Yasmine Rammal (Grade 11) for being accepted at the United World Colleges (UWC) with a scholarship program. UWC has 17 schools and colleges set in 17 countries and 4 continents and aims at delivering a challenging and transformational education to over 9,500 students each year. To further promote the diversity of its student body, UWC offers scholarship programs for “outstanding students” from around the world “who want to become change-makers for a better world, regardless of their socio-economic, religious, national, ethnic or cultural background”. Students who apply for the scholarship program go through a rigorous selection process to ensure that they have the capacity to live and study in multicultural context and exchange values and traditions of their mother country.

To this date, five Ahliah students have been selected for the UWC scholarships; Mohammad Sbeity, Sarah Abdallah, and Ahmad Yassir have completed their studies at their respective UWC schools and have pursued their higher education in renowned international universities. They have, on many occasions, expressed the enriching and life changing experience that UWC has offered them and the valuable higher education and career prospects it has provided.

We would like to wish Rouaa and Yasmine the best in their future journey.
