Ahliah School always strives at providing students with varied experiences to promote “joy for learning”. We are proud of our students’ achievements and their ability to demonstrate their learning in the three languages, Arabic, English and French. Last week, students celebrated the French week and participated in exciting, fun and engaging activities. They demonstrated their acquisition of the French language through different games, art exhibition, Eiffel tower building and drawing competition and songs. Cycle two students with the help of their teacher engaged other students during recess time in games like, snake and ladder, building Eiffel tower with Lego blocks and completing crossword puzzles and multiple-choice questions about France. Grade 4 walked visiting students through their art exhibition and explained the story of their drawing. Cycle one students were also engaged in diverse activities where Grade 3 students enjoyed a French breakfast, Grade 2 wrote and decorated a French poem and leaned about French monuments, while Grade 1 learned songs and decorated their drawings of French landmarks. The week ended with students and teachers wearing a beret, foulard and a top representing the French flag colors blue, white, or red.
